What to expect
- MEO: passes last 2–3 hours and the footprint covers an ocean. Trans-Atlantic contacts are routine.
- Needs the GreenCube terminal software and a soundcard-to-radio interface. Not usable with a plain HT.
- Slow Doppler, but path loss is high: 25 W plus a yagi is typical.
Gear: All-mode 70 cm rig, sound card, yagi with some gain, GreenCube terminal software.
